oklahoma disaster

I am writing from an article on ABC news about the tornado in Oklahoma. It is a major tragedy for thousands of people. So far 24 people have been killed and thousands of homes have been destroyed in this past week. The tornado also hit an elementary school killing 10 children. The first of the funerals was for a 9 year old girl that was killed in the tornado.
It was said that the tornado cause over 2 million dollars’ worth of damage. Authorities say over 13,000 homes have been destroyed in Moore, OK, 33,000 people have been injured or affected by this. This is a hard time for Oklahoma considering they have had three other tornadoes since 1998. This one so far has had the biggest toll since then.
When the tornado hit the two elementary schools it completely leveled one and leaving the other with only half a building. Out of the ten children that were killed two of them were just infants. The families are in devastation. A medical examiner said that six of the children who died at the Plaza Towers suffocated after being buried under a mass of bricks, steel and other materials used to make the building. I just feel that Oklahoma is going to take some time to come back from this, but they have seen this time and time again and will stay strong no matter how bad the weather is.
